The Extraction of Crystallized Energies

The Extraction process is performed during an Illumination, when the energetic landscapes of the chakras are revealed.

Some toxic energies can crystallize, becoming nearly material objects, which are impossible to metabolize through the Illumination Process and must be extracted manually.

These crystallized energies embed themselves in the physical body, taking on shapes such as daggers, arrows, spears, and swords.

Amazon shamans believe that crystallized energies are the result of black magic or sorcery.

I have found that these energies can be caused by anger, envy, or hatred directed at us by another person—often those who are closest to us.

Sometimes they are also energetic remnants from a former existence.

The Extraction process is performed during an Illumination, when the energetic landscapes of the chakras are revealed, and crystallized energies can be easily detected.

The Illumination combusts energies that collect around the crystallization and keep it wedged into the body, thereby facilitating the Extraction.

Negative energies are attracted to us when there is an affinity within us.

Anger can penetrate our LEF (Luminous Energy Field) only when the vibration for anger lives within us, and hatred can affect us only when self-hatred is present.

Consequently, it is not enough to extract the crystallized energies; the client’s affinities have to be changed as well.

The Illumination Process heals the affinities for these energies by clearing and stepping up the frequency at which a chakra spins.

As the vibratory rate of a chakra increases, we begin to attract pure, clear, beneficent energies.
There are five steps to the Extraction process.

First, I scan my client’s LEF, slowly passing my hand a few inches above the body.

I’m feeling for variations in temperature which often indicate the presence of a crystallized energy.

When I sense a shape, I wrap my hand around it and try to obtain an impression.

Then, I tease out the heavy energy at the base of the object, gathering these energies with my fingertips and flicking them to the Earth.

This begins to loosen the embedded object.

I move my hands to the release points at the back of the skull, triggering the release of any remaining toxic energies in the chakra.

There is not always a linear relationship between the site of the crystallized energy and the compromised chakra.

It is possible to find an embedded energy in the feet that involves the heart chakra.

That completed, I go back to the object, gently moving it from side to side and twisting to loosen it.

I invite my client to bring her awareness to the site and to feel my actions, asking her if she is experiencing any pain, or if I’m going too fast or too slow.

Often, I’ll ask my client to describe any images she is perceiving.

After the object is extracted, I illuminate the chakra, bathing it in pure light, to increase its vibratory rate and change the affinity.

Finally, I close the chakra and process with the client.

When I first learned the Extraction process, I thought the Amazon shamans perceived daggers, spears, and arrows embedded in their clients because such objects were the stuff of their everyday lives.

When I work with clients here I expected to detect objects more congruent with the symbols of modern warfare—guns and bullets.

To my surprise, I found exactly the same symbols that the jungle healers described.

I could make no sense of this until I considered that the brain’s limbic system evolved thousands of years ago at a time when our ancestors hunted game and slew each other with knives and spears.

The repertoire of images of this ancient brain structure remained unchanged.

The limbic brain takes the symbolic as literal.

When we have been betrayed, we say that we have been “stabbed in the back” because symbolically we have!

Contact me for more information and if you feel this is happening to you.

Most of my work is done remotely, and with clients all around the world.

So where ever you are we can work with this.

Shamanic Fire Ceremony During Solstices and Equinoxes

A fire ceremony to honor solstices and equinoxes is a perfect time to contemplate our relationship to Spirit.

What is Spirit and what is a ceremony? Why do we use fire and ceremony?

The answers to these questions are complex and multidimensional, so there are many answers.

And any answers or understanding we get today will probably change when we ask the question again next time.

This is the nature of the great mystery.

We can’t know it.

We can only experience it.

When we experience something and we are conscious, we are changed forever.

A ceremony is an intentional event to celebrate and honor something sacred.

We gather at our fires to step outside of the limitation of our ordinary lives and ordinary time.

In ceremony, we step into sacred time and experience the infinite.

In ceremony, we grow our light bodies and feel our connection to all things.

We realize that everything is sacred and that all of life is a ceremony.

We gather at the fire because we walk the path of fire.

Fire is an element.

It is alive with the light of Ti.

It has the power to transform energy and matter in a very short time.

We use fire to transform instantly what would take long periods of time to process.

Fire consumes our heavy energy and transforms it back to light carrying our prayers with it.

Fire has such power that even a small candle or match can have more energy than we will ever need in a single ceremony or a single lifetime.

What better time to have a fire ceremony than during an equinox or a solstice.

The equinoxes happen in March (about March 21) and September (about September 23).

Equinoxes are opposite on either side of the equator, so the autumnal (fall) equinox is in the Northern Hemisphere, and the spring (vernal) equinox in the Southern Hemisphere.

These are the days when the Sun is exactly above the Equator, which makes day and night nearly equal in length, bringing balance and harmony to our nights and days.

Likewise, we can strive to bring harmony into our lives during the equinoxes.

Equinoxes are different from solstices.

The two solstices happen in June (20 or 21) and December (21 or 22).

These are the days when the Sun’s path in the sky is the farthest north or south from the Equator.

A hemisphere’s winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and its summer solstice the year’s longest.

In the Northern Hemisphere the June solstice marks the start of summer: this is when the North Pole is tilted closest to the Sun, and the Sun’s rays are directly overhead at the Tropic of Cancer.

The December solstice marks the start of winter: at this point the South Pole is tilted closest to the Sun, and the Sun’s rays are directly overhead at the Tropic of Capricorn. (In the Southern Hemisphere the seasons are reversed.)

Have you honored a solstice or equinox with a fire ceremony?

THE MOMENTUM TUNNEL

The momentum tunnel is the main channel of our timeline, charting the events of our past, present, and future.

The shaman is a tracker, who can track luminous cords extending into the past and the future.

The energy of these cords, the most likely trajectory, is our momentum tunnel.

To step outside of it and make more powerful changes, we need to lighten our baggage.

The lighter and less attached we are, the more nimble we become.

We can choose to give up our baggage and attachments or they will be taken from us when the change becomes necessary.

When this happens our destiny is derailed and we fall into the grip of fate.

And the problem with fate is that it is preordained.

We are no longer free and become victims of our genetics, our karma, or the tragic stories from our childhood.
The momentum tunnel is the main channel of our timeline, charting the events of our past, present, and future.
99% of the future possibilities can be extrapolated in the direction of its flow.
These are the strands that lie inside the borders described by the solid cord of light extending from our past and into our future.
This is we’re 99 percent of the outcomes of our lives will fall.

Only one percent of the possibilities lie outside the momentum tunnel, these are the most difficult to achieve, but are often the most promising.

Our momentum tunnel is what keeps us going with the flow, executing the sole contracts we entered into when we were six, the genetic predispositions we inherited, and the choices we made before we were born.

If you’ve already made the difficult choices that lead to wellness, longevity, and inner peace, then a momentum tunnel may already be supporting a journey. (This is what happens when we change the toxic relationship, leave the nightmare job, eat well and exercise, and have harmony in our life.)
But for many of us who are in a more difficult place in which to alter the course of our lives, the one percent that lies outside the momentum tunnel is where we can go to find our destiny.
It’s where we can look when our life isn’t working and we need to explore other possibilities.

For example, when someone is diagnosed with a form of cancer that’s fatal for the majority of people, 99% of the destiny lines may lead to a lengthy, crippling illness, or to death.

Only one percent of the lines will lead to health, yet assessing the one percent requires them to change 99% of their life.

Their genetics, lifestyle choices, and emotional environment all line up in the momentum tunnel leading toward disease, so they can go about changing their lives one aspect at a time (dieting, quitting high stress job, and so on), or, more powerfully, they can change the whole trajectory of the momentum tunnel energetically by journeying along their timeline to select a more desirable destiny.

This destiny is installed on the timeline by the mere act of finding it and seeing it.

The course of the momentum tunnel is then altered.

Once the course of the momentum tunnel lines up with your destiny, you can transform your entire life.

You won’t need to micromanage every choice you make, you’re merely need to be a good steward of the circumstances of your life, with a full knowledge and trust that the best destiny has already been selected.

When destiny has been installed in your future, the universe conspires on your behalf to make it come true.

You’re inner-guidance systems direct you towards this destiny ,and the hand of Spirit holds you.
Changing the Course of the Momentum Tunnel

Although changing the course of our momentum tunnel can be extremely desirable, it’s often not an easy task.

Imagine for a moment the difference between flying a Boeing 747 and a helicopter.

A 747 is built so that your drink won’t shake too much on the tray table in front of you, it’s so smooth that you can take a nap and the pilot can put the plane on autopilot, wonder around the cabin, and checkin with the passengers.

The stability comes at a price. To turn a 747, you have to make a wide sweeping motion that takes time, particularly if you want to do it so that none of the passengers find their drinks in their laps.

This is how most of us design our lives, so that we can walk around on autopilot with a drink poised on a little table. But we pay a price.

And just like the 747 it takes time to change course.

A helicopter is a totally different machine that’s designed to turn on a dime and dart in and out of places quickly.

Forget about getting up and going for a stroll around the aircraft, all the attention needs to be focused on flying.

You also have the jettison any excess baggage because a helicopter has to travel light. That means the drinks, the meals, the flight attendance all have to go.

It’s like driving a pick up truck with a washer and dryer in the back, and suddenly you want to make a left turn.

Even if you manage to make the turn at 100 miles an hour, the washer and dryer will keep going forward, and you’ll probably roll the truck over and go off the road.

In order to make the turn safely you need to slow way down.

The problem is that most of us don’t know how to slow down the truck, that is, how to cut back on our work hours or change our relationship with our children, because we lost control of the momentum that propels us forward.
If we don’t jettison our baggage, then the washer and dryer, the job, the spouse, and even her health will be stripped from us.

Achieving stillness gives us access to  many shamanic practices, and mapping our lifelines and achieving clarity supports our ability to achieve stillness.

We have techniques and exercises that you can learn to landscape your own momentum tunnel.

It is important to approach this with an open mind.
Destiny isn’t always what we feel we want to change, but sometimes what we truly need to change in our lives, no matter how accomplished or successful, in order to have a healed and meaningful existence.

Transforming Fate Into Destiny

Fate is also deadly

Although the two terms are often used interchangeably, there’s a marked difference between fate (which is known as karma among Eastern traditions) and destiny (also known as dharma).

Fate is a course that’s been predetermined by our family, our history, our genes, and our emotional wounds – it is the prearranged and seemingly inevitable series of events that happen to us.

We speak about the fate of nations with a sense of inevitability.

We sometimes hear of two individuals meeting, or of a relationship breaking apart, and say that it was “fated to happen.”

Fate appears unavoidable and stalks us at every turn in our lives.

For example, we leave one spouse only to end up in the same relationship with another person.

Fate is also deadly; in fact, it has the same origin as the word fatality.

Destiny, on the other hand, is the purpose and calling of a life, and it can be discovered and realized.

Early Greeks believed that fate was spun from a certain thread, and that once it was woven into a cloth it was irreversible; they saw destiny, on the other hand, as a force or agency that could intervene to reweave the cloth of fate.

Destiny allows you to transcend fate and live free of negative emotional and genetic programming.

By stepping into your destiny, you can free yourself from an inheritance of breast cancer or heart disease, or from an emotional history that causes you to continually remarry an updated version of an unsuitable spouse.

Destiny allows you to navigate life instead of stumble through it.

When you step into your destiny, you can participate consciously in your own growth.

I believe that destiny can also happen without divine intervention – but it requires that you become conscious of your past wounds and respond to the calling you were born with.

Then you can steer the course of your own life.

Biologists and the Laika have different understandings of evolution.

Biologists think that it happens only between generations – that is, our children may be smarter and healthier than we are, but it’s too late for the current generation to change.

But the Laika understand that evolution happens within generations, so you can actually uncoil the layers of your genetic code to reinform your DNA and change your genetic fate.

Science believes that our genes can’t be altered, and we’re all bound to inherit certain traits and tendencies from previous generations.

So if a genetic predisposition runs in your family, your children’s fate has been sealed: The breast cancer you inherited from your mother is just waiting to express itself, and the heart condition passed down from your father will spring up like a jack-in-the-box down the road.

Like the Laika, I believe that we can change our destiny so that our children will inherit the healed traits we develop in our lifetime, as we uncoil the genetic code another strand.

Through journeying, we can track a destiny in which we heal and age differently, one in which we avoid manifesting the ailments of our ancestors or reliving our childhood traumas.

Journeying can guide us to grow new bodies informed not only by who we’ve been in the past, but by who we’ll be 10,000 years from now.

The True Power Of Blessings – 2

The quantum principle tells us that prayer & blessings are consciousness

True Blessings

The quantum principle tells us that prayer & blessings are consciousness.

A state of being.

Inviting us to be surrounded by our answer and be enveloped by what we desire.
We must first have the feeling of our prayers and blessings answered in our hearts before they become the reality of our lives.

Asking in a way like “Please let these things happen,”  – this is not the language Creation recognises.
When we feel as though we’re surrounded by healed lives and healed relationships, and enveloped by peace in our world, that feeling is both the language and the prayer that opens the door to all possibilities.

The key is that we must become the very things that we choose to experience in our lives.

If you are looking for love, compassion, understanding and nurturing in our lives, we must develop those very qualities within ourselves so that the Mind of God / Spirit can mirror them back to us in our relationships.
If we want abundance, we must feel gratitude for the abundance that already exists in our lives.

Hurt Is The Teacher, Wisdom Is The Lesson

: Tests and challengers in our lives come on to us only when we are ready to hurt.

That is only when we have all the emotional tools to heal our pain and draw to us the experiences to demonstrate our mastery.
This is the subtle yet powerful secret to coping with suffering.

Blessing Is The Emotional Lubricant

: When we apply the steps of the blessing process, we suspend our hurt long enough to replace it with something else.

Bless everything about the experience.

From the one who hurts, to the one who is hurting.

I blessed myself, I was the one who was hurt.

I then blessed the Man who betrayed me, I believed he was the source of my hurt.

Then I blessed all those who witnessed the hurt. Daughter, wife, parents, friends.

In the blessing, I suspended my own hurt long enough to let in something else.

That “something” was the ability to see the big picture and make sense of  the seemingly seedless things that were happening in my life.
I then found beauty in the process.

Beauty Is The Transformer of Our Hurt

: Beyond something that we see only with our eyes, we can see the symmetry, balance, and the give-and-take of a situation.

We begin to see why things have happened the way they have.

This is where magic occurs.

When our hurt makes sense to us and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We begin to feel differently.

In that, our hurt becomes our wisdom.
This is where the healing begins.

Feeling Is The Prayer and The Blessing

:  Ancient traditions remind us that the world around us is nothing more or less than the mirror of what we have become in our lives.

What we feel about our relationships with ourselves, one another, and ultimately, God / Spirit.

Science now suggests the same thing, what we feel inside our bodies is carried into the world beyond our bodies.

This is a different way than what we were taught growing up.
It is also empowering.

Bringing back to you the real power of Blessings and Prayers.

The True Power of Blessing

Free Hurtful Emotions And Open To Greater Healing

Blessing – Part 1 of 2.

Blessing is a quality of thought/feeling/emotion that allows us to redefine our feelings about something that’s hurting us now or in the past.

It is a “lubricant” that frees our hurtful emotions, opens us to greater healing. Rather than being stuck and unresolved within the body.

To lubricate our emotions, we must acknowledge (Bless) all aspects of those hurtful things: such as those who suffer, the cause of the suffering, and those who witness the outcome.

Also, it is important to be very clear about what it is not.

When we bless someone who has hurt us, we aren’t suggesting what happened is OK, or that we want it to happen again.

Blessing doesn’t condone or make excuses for any atrocity or act of suffering.

What blessing does do is free us from our painful experiences.

It acknowledges those events, and feelings about those experiences and allow them to move through our bodies instead of getting stuck inside them.

Blessing is the key to accessing the space between.

When we make our choices and offer our prayers from a place of strength and clarity, rather than from weakness of rage and hurt, something wonderful begins to happen. This can be as simple or as difficult as we choose to make it.

Before you can Bless . . .

One prerequisite before you can do a blessing into your life.

You must truthfully and honestly answer a single question. This is for you alone.

Question is: “Am I ready to move beyond a `gut´ reaction or an old belief that `someone must pay´ or I need to get even in order to right a wrong?”

To move beyond the thinking that justifies hurting someone because they’ve hurt you.

If the answer is yes, then the blessing is for you, and you will like the results you experience.

If your answer is no, then your path is to find out why you would choose to hold on to a belief that keeps you locked in hurt and leads to the very suffering you’re trying to heal.

There is No right or wrong answer.
This helps you to be very clear in your thought processes and what you hope to achieve through your beliefs.

The Blessing Template.

The key to receiving the gift of blessing is that it must be offered.

Find a place of privacy, where no one will hear what you’re about to do.

Then, simply begin by stating the following out loud:

•    “I bless __________.” (Place here the name(s) of those who are suffering or have suffered.)

•    “I bless __________.” (Place here the name(s) of who or what has inflicted the suffering. It helps to be as specific as possible.) •     “ I bless me in the witnessing.” Or those who have been affected by suffering.

This can take a time or two before it really works.
Repeat your blessing until you feel warmth in your body that extends outward from the pit of your stomach.
This will rise and expand throughout your body.

** Now we  start to realize the full impact of early biblical edits!

When the books that preserved the wisdom of emotion & feeling disappeared from our traditions, we were left on our own to understand what the new texts were all about!

It becomes obvious that tremendous liberties were taken throughout the centuries with the wording and intent of the ancient authors.

A lot was lost in the so-called Translation!!

Even the priests and people of authority began to forget the power of feeling in prayer and blessings.

We need to bring in the feeling of prayer and blessing.

Always the feeling.

Each moment is a prayer and blessing.

Life is a prayer and blessing!

Scientific tests showed when people prayed and blessed and were at peace within their bodies, the world around them reflected that peace and blissfulness.

All that could happen was peace and bliss. When they stopped, the violence renewed, sometimes reaching levels greater than before the experiments began!

Prayer and blessing is more than what we do.

Prayer and blessing is what we are! Rather than something that we do sometimes, the old traditions invite us to accept prayer and blessing as something that we become, always.

Bringing back to you the real power of Blessings and Prayers.

Prayer Part 2 of 2

The Best Times of the Day To Pray

Although praying any time during the day is beneficial, Native North American Indian traditions state that two times each day the earth enters into mystical realms.

One realm immediately after the sun disappears below the horizon, just before the darkness of night arrives.

The second realm occurs just before the sun reappears from the edge of the sky, after the darkest part of the night.

Both are twilight moments.

Suggested is an opening occurs in which profound truths may be realised, deep healings may occur, and prayers have their greatest power.

Called by Carlos Castaneda as a “crack between the worlds”.
An access point into the unseen realms of spirits, demons and power.

Prayer is more than what we do.

Prayer is what we are!

Rather than something that we do sometimes, the old traditions invite us to accept prayer as something that we become always.

The quantum principle tells us that prayer is consciousness.

A state of being.

Inviting us to be surrounded by our answer and be enveloped by what we desire.
We must first have the feeling of our prayers answered in our hearts before they become the reality of our lives.

Asking “Please let these things happen,” – this is not the language Creation recognises.

Creating Your Own Prayers:

Words of prayers are not the prayers. They may be beautiful, ancient, and time-honoured relics, they are simply the catalysts to unleash the force.

And the force is within you!!

You is the operative word here.

For our words, its all about our Feelings!

Prayers are personal.

One is different for every-body.

This is where you can have fun with your prayers.

Create your own! Words that have special meaning to you.

Between you and God / Spirit.

Could be a simple single statement you’re praying about is already accomplished.

Like, “I give thanks for a safe journey and a safe return.”

While you state your prayer, feel the feeling of gratitude as if your journey is already complete.

To empower your prayer with your senses, see yourself doing something when you return home, like taking the groceries out of the car and putting in the fridge.

The key is that you can only take the groceries out of the car and put them away if you are back home.
This way, you have set the powerful intention of a safe journey by feeling it as if it has already happened.

If you are poetic, your prayers can reflect your creativity in the form of rhymes.

Rhymes are both easy to remember and can become part of your daily ritual.

Check out Rhyming Dictionaries for extra help.

The important point is to give thanks for the feeling they create.
There’s a friend who drives over mountain ranges who says, “All creatures great and small, stay safe today, one and all.

Creation responds to what we become – and to what we feel.

Have fun with your prayer poems.

Share them with friends.

It can come very naturally for you to anchor and seal your prayers with a rhyme.
We knew how to do this as children, and they know how to do it today.

Different ways to pray.

I feel the best way is what is most comfortable, peaceful and sacred to you.

This could be lying down – face up or down, standing, walking, on your knees, crossed legged on a mat of cushion, on a chair, holding a book or an object you feel a connection to God or Spirit with.

You may have your own position that brings you closer.

This can be by yourself or with a friend or group of people.

Your hands could be clasped, or fingers and palms together, in front of your chest, or chin or forehead.

You choose what is right for you.

The one thing I always do is at the beginning and the end is to give Thanks and Gratitude.

In whatever way you feel is appropriate.
Through such simple and joyful moments of life, we’re using an ancient inner technology to access the most powerful force in the universe!

Bringing back to you the real power of Prayer.

Prayer – Part 1 of 2

The Power that was Intentionally Hidden From Us!

The Power that was Intentionally Hidden From Us!

The way indigenous peoples all around the world still practice, and the way our ancestors prayed.

For thousands of years, those who came before us preserved the knowledge of prayer, why it works, and how we might use it in our lives.

In massive temples and hidden tombs, through language and customs that have changed very little for at least 5,000 years, our ancestors preserved the powerful knowledge of prayer.

When we focus on a certain quality of feelings in our hearts, we’re actually using a mode of prayer that was largely “forgotten” after the now well publicized biblical edits of the fourth century.
Then with each new edit and publication after this it was conveniently left out until even organized religion “forgot” about it!

There are two questions that a lot of us ask.

1) What is happening to our world?

2) What can we do to make things better?

Generally, we are all looking for the same thing – a land to call home, a way to provide for our families, and a better future for ourselves and our children.

We have a few ways to help make these things happen and bring about change.

The one way that most of us practice Prayer in the West is we ask.

When we ask FOR something to happen, we give power to what we don’t have.

Prayers FOR healing, empower the sickness.

Prayers FOR rain empower the drought.

Continuing to ask FOR these things only gives more power to the things we would only like to change.

If we pray FOR world peace, while feeling anger towards those who lead us to war, or even war itself, we may inadvertently be feeling the very conditions that lead to the opposite of peace.

A slight shift in perspective could change that.

If you didn’t pray FOR rain, what do you do?

Pray rain.

I begin to have the feeling of what rain feels like.

The feeling of rain on my body, what it’s like to stand with bare feet in the mud because there has been so much rain.
I smelled the smell of the rain on the earth and felt what it feels like to walk through fields of corn chest high because there has been so much rain.

Engaging all our senses, in the hidden power of thought, feelings and emotions, this is what sets us apart from other life forms.
Senses of smell, sight, taste and touch, that is what connects us to our world.

Using the powerful and ancient language that “speaks” to nature.

Following the prayers of rain, feel thanks and appreciation of the completion of the prayers.

Like an “amen” of Christianity. Or the “Aho” in South American Shamanic Energy Practices.

Feel grateful for the opportunity to participate in creation.

“Through our thanks, we honor all possibilities, while bringing what we choose to this world.”

This quality of gratitude and appreciation releases the life-affirming chemistry of powerful hormones in our bodies and strengthens our immune systems.
These change within us, the quantum effects carry beyond our bodies through the conduit of the mysterious substance that appears to connect all of creation.

Try this mode of prayer for yourself.

Think of something that you would like to experience in your life.

It may be the healing of a physical condition for you or someone else, abundance for your family, or finding the perfect person to share your life with.

Rather than asking for it to become present in your life, FEEL as though it has already happened.

Breathe deeply and feel the fullness of your prayer fulfilled in every detail, in every way.

Now feel the gratitude for what your life is like with this prayer already answered.

Note the ease and release that comes from giving thanks, rather than the longing and yearning that comes from asking for help.
This subtle difference between the EASE, and the longing is the power that sets asking apart from RECEIVING.

Bring in all your senses – Feeling – Seeing – Hearing – Smelling.

How powerful! How beautiful! How simple!

Feeling is the language that the Mind of God and Spirit recognizes.

Feeling based prayer changes us.

We bend, and the world spontaneously reflects our improvements.

Especially the way we feel about what we do.

The ancients believed that feeling – especially the form of feeling that we call “prayer” – is the single most powerful force in the universe.

Bringing back to you the real power of Prayer.

The Importance of Napping (Siestas)

I personally love this. It fits well into my lifestyle.

A nap is a short period of sleep, usually taken during the day.

Many swear by napping as an effective way to relax and recharge, while others find naps unhelpful and disruptive to their sleep.

I personally love this. It fits well into my lifestyle.

In the modern world, we’re often compelled to be as productive as possible during as many hours of the day as we can be.

While this can lead to great feats of accomplishment, we often become exhausted and find ourselves craving rest and rejuvenation.

We may feel like taking a nap but feel guilty about indulging in even ten minutes of rest.
This need for personal downtime, which many people experience in the early afternoon, isn’t a sign of laziness nor is it necessarily related to how much sleep you had the night before.

There was even a time when taking a nap was considered a natural part of everyone’s day.
Napping is a pleasurable yet brief period of sleep when our minds and bodies can take a break.

Though judged by many to be a pastime for children or the elderly, napping can benefit people of all ages.

The desire to nap is a trait shared by many mammals, and napping is still an important part of the day in some countries, especially here in the Mediterranean.

Snoozing for a half-hour can be an enjoyable way to promote physical well-being, and naps have been known to improve your mood, boost memory, improve job performance, make you more alert, and ease stress.

A 20-minute nap can sharpen your senses and revitalize you, while a ten-minute nap can leave you feeling more cheerful.

Falling into a light sleep during the daytime can feel meditative.

The thoughts you have as you are taking a nap and the dreams you experience may offer you insights about your life that you may not have at night when you are in a deep sleep.

Most sleep researchers recommend napping before 2 p.m., so that your nap has less impact on your nighttime sleep.

On days you aren’t able to take a nap, getting out in bright sunlight can help restore your energy.

Most recommend 20 to 30 minutes napping. In order to fully enjoy the benefits of napping, you may need to give yourself permission to nap.

Feeling guilty about snoozing or worrying about your to-do list won’t do you much good when you are trying to take a nap because your thoughts or feelings will keep you awake.

Try to nap at the same time each day and use an alarm clock to ensure that you don’t sleep for too long.

Learning to nap and enjoy its restorative benefits can help you wake up restored, rejuvenated, and ready for the rest of your day.

While napping isn’t always an option for everyone, if you like to nap and feel refreshed and energized afterward, go ahead—it’s good for you.
If you tried napping and you’re still feeling tired, you may want to assess your sleep routine and contact me for other ways to boost your normal sleeping patterns.

The “Tool Chest” of the Shaman

What are the tools the shaman uses on a daily basis?

In shamanic energy medicine we have many at our disposal.

In remote healing and for in person healing.
Physical tools include and not at all limited to  –

Florida / Spirit Water
Used to enhance spiritual cleansing and for purification and protection.

Repels negative energy. Many other uses for this versatile liquid. Can be bought or I like to make my own.

Video of this later. I use mine for clearing space before clients and ceremonies.
Pendulum
It is a tool of divination and is used for spiritual guidance, making decisions, answering questions, and cleansing negative energy.
My personal use is as in the above, and in healing detection of negative energies in clients’ chakras and checking results after work is completed.

Chakra stones

Used to unblock or balance chakras. There are different stones and colours for different chakras.

To magnify or balance the energy centre’s you are working on. To help clear or realign them.

I also use them when doing remote work after calling in the client’s energy field onto the table.
Mesa
Spanish word meaning table or altar. Used for healing, ceremony, prayer and divination.
Holds sacred and personal objects. For healing and communion with the Spirit World.
In my own I have my healing stones from each direction, special tracking stone, + +

Our hands
Have the ability to influence the energy of our physical, emotional and spiritual body.
They hold an innate healing power that has been used for centuries.
Physically in person, and remotely.
Our energy system speaks to us, and we have the ability to sense and feel other’s energies around their bodies as we work with them.

Feathers
Feathers from various birds are used within healing and ceremony. Some feathers are made into fans, for offering prayers to Great Spirit or for fanning the smudge used for cleansing.

The feathers from different birds evoke different energies. Besides the above, I also use mine for cutting energy cords and tubes to negative energies connected to my clients.

In the spiritual realm they are one of the sharpest of all our instruments. Also, for cleansing and re-setting chakras.
Crystals
Crystals and/or semi-precious stones support shamans during their work to aid them in channeling universal energies, to lend them protection and assist them in connecting with Spirit.
Hugely powerful in our work, I have them with me at all times when working with clients and are used during every session.

Fire / candles
In shamanic mythology, fire is a path of rapid transformation. Whether a big outdoor fire, or using a candle indoors, the use of fire to enhance our spiritual practice has been used since man was able to utilize its energies.
A fire ceremony is a powerful Shamanic practice used to release unwanted energies and attachments from the past and make space for new intentions.

Sage / Paolo Santo
Smudging is the ritual of cleaning the energy of a physical space, object or person.
Smudge ‘deposits’ the energy of the plant into the space helping to dissipate old, lingering energies. I personally use the sage with the intention to clean and clear the person and space I am working in. I then use Paolo Santo for protection and clarity.

Communicating with Spirit
The practice of shamanism has mystical and spiritual connotations, but it’s not tied to any specific religion or creed.
We work with spirit, healing ill-ness at a soul level.
We collect insights and acquire knowledge to assist in the client’s overall well-being.
This is done many ways, and every person I work with is unique.
Sometimes communication is visual, sometimes kin-aesthetic.
Other times something totally different.
I am open and attentive for all possible ways of receiving messages.

The Invisible World
Similarly, as in our physical world, the shaman also has a set of very important tools to work with the invisible world.
These are not tools like above.
The most important tools of the shaman are energetic.
Despite not having a physical form that you can hold in your hands or see with your eyes; these tools are extremely sharp and effective.
In fact, they have been sharpened by the ancient shamans over millennia.
These tools include journeying, working with the dark side, connecting to the power animals, honoring ancestors, ascension ceremony, destiny tracking and much more.

This is a brief on some of the “Tool Chest” items shamans have at their disposal for working with energy medicine.

It would be amiss of me not to point out that traditionally trained shamans around the world are hugely powerful and wondrous beings.
They seldom use physical tools as their abilities to heal are so strong and encompassing they need no such items.
They are doing amazing healing for Pachamama (Mother Earth) and its inhabitants, and most people are totally unaware of this.

Bless and praise be to them.

They are the ones we need so much at this pivotal time in our existence.

We also need you and me to carry this on in our Nations and Communities.

There are some amazing people out there doing truly beautiful healings for all of us.
We are all called to action for the protection of our beautiful blue and green planet.

Jamie
